Lip augmentation WITHOUT THE SURGERY

Whether you're smiling or pouting, nothing says young and sensual like full, rounded lips. However, many women either find their lips flatten and thin with age or are not as round and plump as they'd like. The flat, thin appearance of the lips is sometimes mistaken as frowning. Other women find their top and bottom lips are uneven. Lip augmentation plumps lips for a fuller, rounder or more balanced appearance.

Patients are able to select among a variety of safe and effective techniques that suit their lifestyles and aesthetic goals. All of these procedures (except Collagen) are performed using local anesthesia.

Radiesse or Juvederm injections are a non-permanent, non-surgical lip augmentation method that generally lasts for three to five months and do not require any down time.

Juvederm is the newest most advanced form of hyaluronic acid dermal filler on the market today. It is a highly cross - linked formula (accomplished through advanced scientific methods) that is a smooth, consistently flowing gel. All other dermal fillers are granular. Gummy Smile Correction

Many people go around with gummy smiles, i.e., their gum shows when they smile and their upper lip curls upwards. For several patients, this can cause a lot of self-consciousness, and even embarrassment. A thin upper lip can further contribute to this problem by allowing more of the gum to be exposed. The gummy smile reduction in a non-surgical approach by combining two injectable substances, Botox and a filler like Juvederm. The results last about six months and patients are usually very happy with this tradeoff for an almost immediately beautiful smile.

But many patients with minor or less severe irregularities of the chin can have a non-surgical reshaping of the chin with a dermal filler injection, which is painless, safe, with a quick recovery and minimal downtime.

A non-surgical chin reshaping – chin and/or cheek augmentation is an excellent and affordable option for patients who would like to achieve a more pleasing appearance without the risks of surgery.

The non-surgical, non invasive chin reshaping, non-surgical genioplasty involves the use of a dermal filler –  injected to reshape and contour the chin and/or cheeks to achieve a natural aesthetic appearance, in a quick, safe and effective out-patient treatment. Any patient who desires an improvement in the size and shape of the chin and/or cheeks may be suitable for non-surgical chin and cheek reshaping – augmentation. Also, patients who have deformities of the chin or cheeks either from birth or from injuries can achieve significant improvement without the pain, risk and recovery associated with surgery.

Liquid Lift & Facial Contouring

The Liquid Lift - Non-Surgical Facelift is a treatment using injectable products such as Juvederm to restore volume - volumetric rejuvenation, and Botulinum Toxin (Botox) to relax overactive muscles, to achieve a youthful aesthetically pleasing rejuvenation.
Aging and weight loss lead to loss of volume of the facial tissues, especially the skin and subcutaneous fat, which manifests as sagging skin producing lines and wrinkles.  This is commonly seen in the forehead, cheeks, nasolabial folds and around the mouth and jaw line.  The loss of volume is primarily the result of loss of hyaluronic acid, collagen and water in the skin and the Liquid Lift -Non-surgical Facelift aims to restore the normal plump youthful appearance of the skin and face by injecting a dermal filler into the affected areas.  Botulinum Toxin is used to relax overactive muscles and promote the improvement in lines and wrinkles.


Eyelid Lift & Eyebag Correction

Dark circles, tired eyes, tear trough are often associated with eyebags and aging changes in the eyelids, but commonly present as specific concerns. Blepharoplasty / eyelid surgery is not indicated for dark circles which can be effectively improved by fillers such as Juvederm. Overactive muscles around the crow's feet and frown lines can be relaxed using Botulinum toxin injections to soften the lines and lift the eyebrows with this non-surgical eyebrow lifting.  The appearance of dark circles occurs due to loss of fat overlying the bony orbital margin either due to genetic changes or gravity and aging. This produces the so called tear trough deformity causing shadows especially with over head lighting. Occasionally, dark circles are caused by pigmentation in this area and will require skin care treatments to improve this.  Eyebrow drooping can be lifted and lines around the eyes - crow's feet can be softened using Botulinum toxin injections.
Initial consultation will determine the goals of treatment, make note of any associated abnormalities or asymmetries and plan the optimum treatment to achieve the ideal result in each patient. The filler is injected into the tear trough to smoothen the area. Botulinum toxin is injected using very fine needles to the desired areas.

Improvement in the tear trough is seen immediately following treatment. However, some swelling or bruising may take 3 -5 days to resolve.  With Botulinum toxin injections, relaxation of the muscles around the eyes begins at 5 days and reaches a peak at 14 days.


Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a troublesome problem that results in awkward social situations for those that are affected. Unfortunately, topical and oral medications, iontophoresis, and surgery have not proven to be efficacious in the majority of patients. In fact surgery can result in compensatory hyperhidrosis in other parts of the body.
Because the eccrine glands are innervated by sympathetic nerves that use acetylcholine as the neurotransmitter, BOTOX is effective in temporarily reducing or abolishing sweat production in treated areas. Although hyperhidrosis is generally not considered a cosmetic problem, many patients will present to the cosmetic dermatologist for treatment of this embarrassing disorder. Classic locations of hyperhidrosis include, the face - underarms - hands and feet.
